Guitar tuner
Play a string. tuneplz finds the nearest one and shows how far off it is, to a tenth of a cent.
| String 6 | E2 | 82.41 Hz |
| String 5 | A2 | 110.00 Hz |
| String 4 | D3 | 146.83 Hz |
| String 3 | G3 | 196.00 Hz |
| String 2 | B3 | 246.94 Hz |
| String 1 | E4 | 329.63 Hz |
Tune one string at a time and let it ring. Green means within 3 cents (a cent is 1/100 of a semitone). If a string is far off, tap it in the row of strings to lock the target.
Phone microphones barely hear low E’s fundamental. tuneplz measures the overtones and fits the true pitch from them, so the reading holds wherever the phone is.
Tune up to the note: if you overshoot, drop below and come back up. Gears hold better under rising tension.
